1. Definitions

“ZenChords” refers to the digital platform, brand, software, and services operated by Hatfold Limited via zenchords.com and the ZenChords mobile applications on iOS and Android.

“User” refers to any individual accessing, purchasing, streaming, or downloading content from ZenChords.

2. General Terms & Scope

By accessing our website, web app, or mobile applications, and/or purchasing digital content, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms supplement any terms imposed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. On Apple devices, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page.

3. Payment, Security & In-App Purchases

All web purchases are processed securely through third-party checkout systems (Stripe, Apple Pay, or Google Pay). Mobile in-app purchases and subscriptions are billed through Apple or Google Play. We process transactions in full prior to granting access to digital content or streaming services. Prices may vary depending on platform and sales tax rules.

4. Taxes & VAT

All prices shown on our Web Store are the final price. Hatfold Limited is not currently VAT registered in the UK; however, we reserve the right to adjust pricing or apply VAT should our registration status or local tax laws change without prior notice.

5. Copyright, Intellectual Property & Anti-Scraping

All content on ZenChords—including audio files, hypnosis recordings, scripts, text, branding, and imagery—is the exclusive property of Hatfold Limited and is protected by international copyright laws. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for private, non-commercial listening.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or publicly perform any content. Furthermore, using automated tools to scrape or harvest content, or utilizing ZenChords audio, scripts, or recordings to train artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning models, is strictly prohibited without prior written permission.

6. Digital Delivery & Content Access

Upon successful payment, users will receive access to their content via:

In-app streaming and offline listening (for iOS and Android users)
Direct web access via the ZenChords Web Player

ZenChords is not responsible for access issues arising from incorrect email addresses or device incompatibility. For technical assistance, please contact us within 7 days of purchase.

⚠️ 7. Statutory Right to Cancel & Digital Waiver

Please Read Carefully: By purchasing digital content (including audio streams or instant downloads) from ZenChords, you express your explicit consent for the supply of digital content to begin immediately. You acknowledge that once the stream, download, or access has commenced, you lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel the contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

8. Refunds & Technical Defects

Due to the nature of digital content, refunds are generally not provided for “change of mind.” However:

Technical Defects

If the digital content is technically defective or fails to stream correctly, you are entitled to a replacement or fix. If we cannot resolve the issue within 30 days, a full refund will be issued.

Store-Processed Purchases

For purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, refund requests are governed by the rules and policies of the respective store platform.

Access Revocation

In the event a refund is processed, ZenChords reserves the right to immediately terminate the User’s stream access and delete the associated account or entitlement.

9. Mobile Subscriptions & App Cancellation Rules

Mobile subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. Subscriptions purchased through mobile app stores are managed directly by Apple or Google Play.

Important Notice: Simply deleting the ZenChords app or removing your account does NOT automatically cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription. You must cancel your subscription directly within your device’s Apple ID or Google Play Account Settings.

10. Cross-Platform Synchronization

While we aim for near-instant synchronization, please allow a short window for web purchases to appear inside the mobile app. Users may need to utilize the “Refresh Purchases” or "Restore Purchases" button within the mobile app settings while logged into their account to sync their library.

11. Health, Safety & Emergency Disclaimer

ZenChords content is designed for relaxation, mindset, and personal development. It is not a medical device or healthcare service and does not provide clinical therapy, medical treatment, or psychiatric advice.

If you have epilepsy, psychosis, or serious neurological conditions, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use. Never listen to ZenChords audio while driving, operating machinery, or engaging in any activity that requires full conscious attention.

ZenChords is not an emergency or crisis intervention service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or immediate distress, stop using the app immediately and contact your local emergency services or a qualified crisis helpline.

12. Liability & Disclaimers

ZenChords is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Individual results vary, and no specific personal, health, or financial outcomes are guaranteed. All use is at the user’s own discretion and risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hatfold Limited’s total liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

13. Download & Backup Responsibility

Where offline audio downloads are provided, it is the user’s responsibility to maintain their device backup. ZenChords may provide replacement links for up to 90 days after purchase, subject to availability.

14. Privacy & Data Handling

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using this service, you consent to the collection and processing of data necessary for the fulfillment of your digital purchases and app functionality.

15. Apple App Store Specific Terms

If you downloaded the ZenChords app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

These Terms are between you and Hatfold Limited, not Apple Inc.
Hatfold Limited, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, and support.
Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the app.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you.

16. Territorial Restrictions

The ZenChords product and associated services are intended for use only in the United Kingdom, the European Union, and other authorized territories excluding the USA and Canada.

Hatfold Limited does not represent that the services are appropriate or available for use in the United States or Canada. Accessing or downloading the ZenChords app from these territories is strictly prohibited. Users who choose to access the service via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or other circumvention methods from restricted territories do so at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws. Hatfold Limited reserves the right to terminate access for users found to be operating in prohibited jurisdictions.

17. Jurisdiction & Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
